The last episode

Many of us know something about 300 . today many Iranians all over the word are surprised and outraged that how Hollywood can be so unfair and distortive , but what I want to say is that such enmities are not new nor circumstantial. Iran is the only alive ancient civilization of history and some facts about this reality stimulate it's enemies to concentrate their endeavors on eliminating its entity , whether militarily or culturally. But history has proved that this is not a calm of easy security. For example , since occupation of Iran by Arabs to establishment of Safavids ,for more than 1000 years,  there was no Iran on any map of the world. But eventually, the abstract part of Iranian identity produced its mundane counterpart.

Today we are witnessing that Iranian identity manifests it's competence in many facets. Some ethnocentrist scholars in west, frightened from the demise of ethics among the young generation, try to find a historical enemy to confront it with western legacy and the best choice for them is always Iran. Iran is the greatest rival of the ancient west and it is so potent that can raise the sense of nationalism and ethnocentrism among youths. Such an approach is not limited to west. Many of the middle eastern countries are determined enemies of Iran and on occasion they demonstrate their hostility as well. For many of them, dissolution of Iran is a dream. When saddam Hussein attacked Iran by early 1980's , he called himself "the commander of qadesia" ( a place where Arabs defeated Iranians 14 centuries ago) and Arabian nations supported him mentally and financially.

 more subtle enemies of Iran try to use more effective and softer methods to emaciate the Iranian identity. they implement cultural methods. In my opinion although 300 can be classified in this category, it is a defeated one.

300 tries to distort the concept of Iran but it unwittingly motivates researchers to conduct wide studies on Iran and particularly achaemenians. Although ordinary people may believe the narration of film, more educated people simply realize that it is only a rough lie. The Spartans were a militant nation that human rights had no value for them while in the same era, Cyrus declared the first charter of human rights. Achaemenians believed in monogamy and the commander of Iranian navy in time of dariush where a woman but women among Spartans where nothing but a sexual matter. But film ignored all of these facts. The most interesting part of the film , is that Leonaidas , for the sake of human rights , shouts : we don't need captives" and he ordered his soldiers to kill captives and injured Iranian soldiers.the crusador of human rights easily kills foreign embassadors. Another trait of Spartans that has attributed to Iranians were slaving the people of surrendered nations. Throughout history Iranians have denounced slavery and Cyrus explicitly abrogated this type of savagery colonialism. The Greek democracy – because it was established over the shoulders of slaves- is the shame of history.

I believe that no matter what our enemies try to do, Iranian new generation knows what to do. Today more than half of internet users in the middle east live in Iran and level of education is far reaching. Although we are poor but history will show that :
